Plaza Shopping realiza ação em alusão ao Setembro Amarelo

O Setembro Amarelo é um movimento coletivo de promoção da importância da saúde mental e de suporte para quem precisa de ajuda. O objetivo da mobilização, que acontece em todo o território nacional, é prevenir novos casos de suicídio, um problema de saúde pública que vem crescendo na sociedade. Este ano, o tema da campanha nacional é “A vida é a melhor escolha!”. Para participar da iniciativa, o Plaza Shopping, promove, pelo quarto ano consecutivo, ação para discutir o tema e conscientizar sobre meios possíveis e mais adequados de prevenção.

“Queremos contribuir com a reflexão sobre a importância da saúde mental que nem sempre recebe a atenção devida. Os clientes vão poder pegar cartões que estarão disponíveis nos pisos L1, L2 e L3 com frases positivas, de valorização da vida, empatia e apoio, para encorajar familiares e amigos a buscarem ajuda ou simplesmente declararem o quanto elas são queridas”, explicou Jakeline Soares, coordenadora de Responsabilidade Socioambiental do Plaza Shopping.

A ação do Setembro Amarelo será realizada ao longo do mês.  Entre as frases contidas nos cartões estão: Tenha certeza: vai passar!, Muita gente te ama, Vai ficar tudo bem, Viver sempre vale a pena e Você é incrível, sabia?

No @plazacasaforte, perfil do Plaza no Instagram, será possível deixar mensagens relacionadas ao tema, de incentivo à procura de ajuda e de acolhimento. Elas serão divulgadas ao longo do mês também nas mídias sociais e nos painéis de led situados ao longo do shopping.

NÚMEROS - De acordo com a última pesquisa realizada pela Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) em 2019, são registrados mais de 700 mil suicídios em todo o mundo, sem contar com os episódios subnotificados, pois com isso, estima-se mais de 1 milhão de casos. No Brasil, os registros se aproximam de 14 mil casos por ano, ou seja, em média 38 pessoas cometem suicídio por dia. Embora os números estejam diminuindo em todo o mundo, segundo a OMS os países das Américas vão na contramão dessa tendência, com índices que não param de aumentar (fonte: www.setembroamarelo.com).

Sabe-se que praticamente 100% de todos os casos de suicídio estavam relacionados às doenças mentais, principalmente não diagnosticadas ou tratadas incorretamente. Dessa forma, a maioria das mortes poderia ter sido evitada se esses pacientes tivessem acesso ao tratamento psiquiátrico e informações de qualidade. Um dos canais que oferecem ajuda é o Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV), que presta serviço voluntário e gratuito de apoio emocional e prevenção do suicídio para todas as pessoas que querem e precisam conversar, sob total sigilo e anonimato.
