RioMar Recife recebe prêmio Selo Verde por comprometimento com práticas sustentáveis

O RioMar Recife recebeu, pela terceira vez, o certificado Empresa Verde, certificação concedida pela Junta Comercial de Pernambuco (Jucepe), em reconhecimento ao seu comprometimento com a preservação do meio ambiente, a eficiência energética e a responsabilidade socioambiental. A cerimônia de premiação aconteceu nesta quinta-feira (dia 6 de julho), na sede da Jucepe.

O Selo Verde é um prêmio concedido para empresas que, comprovadamente, desenvolvem práticas ambientais sustentáveis e esta foi a terceira edição, tendo o RioMar Recife premiado em todas elas. O shopping tem seu projeto, construção e operação baseados em um conceito de sustentabilidade, com a redução de consumo de recursos naturais e foi, inclusive, o primeiro da América Latina a receber o Selo de Alta Qualidade Ambiental, concedido pela Fundação Vanzolini ao auditar projeto, construção e processos operacionais adotados.

“O reconhecimento do Selo Verde, conferido pela Jucepe, confirma o compromisso do RioMar Recife e Grupo JCPM com a sustentabilidade. O RioMar Recife adota práticas socioambientais desde antes de sua construção e há uma década desenvolve na sua gestão e operação modelo sustentável junto à comunidade, lojistas, clientes, parceiros de negócios, de forma integrada e permanente”, afirma Denielly Halinski, gerente de Marketing do RioMar Recife.

O troféu e o certificado foram entregues pelo presidente da entidade, Gabriel Cavalcante, para as representantes do RioMar Recife e do Grupo JCPM: Denielly Halinski, gerente de Marketing do RioMar Recife, Lúcia Pontes, diretora de Desenvolvimento Social e Relações Institucionais do Grupo JCPM, e Thayara Paschoal, gerente de Sustentabilidade do Grupo JCPM.

O prêmio Selo Verde é concedido pela Jucepe, com a Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Profissional e Empreendedorismo e a Agência Estadual de Meio Ambiente, em conjunto com a Secretaria de Meio Ambiente, Sustentabilidade e Noronha. “É uma honra dar continuidade a esse exemplo de boa iniciativa e uma alegria entregar esse prêmio mais uma vez para o RioMar Recife e para o Grupo JCPM, que é orgulho do Nordeste e de todo o Brasil”, pontua Gabriel Cavalcante, presidente da Jucepe.

Práticas sustentáveis

As práticas sustentáveis fazem parte da cultura dos empreendimentos do Grupo JCPM e tudo foi pensado para que o RioMar Recife funcione, desde a obra até a operação, com o mínimo de impactos locais.

“Para nós, é um desafio diário entregar para a população algo que ela sinta que é algo bem cuidado, do ponto de vista da busca pelo melhor uso e melhor compromisso com o meio ambiente. Por isso, é uma alegria enorme ser reconhecida como uma empresa com o Selo Verde porque nos atesta que estamos no caminho necessário para o Recife, o Brasil e o mundo”, afirma Lúcia Pontes.

A construção do RioMar Recife teve alicerce em questões da sustentabilidade, como equipamentos de vida útil maior, para diminuir a troca ou geração de novos materiais, sistemas que demandam menos água (a vácuo), reaproveitamento da água da chuva, iluminação natural, para retardar o uso da artificial durante o dia, e instalação de uma central de resíduos com gestão de cooperativas associadas.

O shopping ainda recebeu, no fechamento de 2022 e início de 2023, o Selo I-REC, importante chancela de que a sua energia, adquirida no mercado livre, é proveniente 100% de fontes renováveis. No empreendimento existem espaços apropriados para o descarte responsável de diversos resíduos, coletor de eletroeletrônicos, além de papa bituca para coletar, reciclar e transformar em papel esse material descartado. Além das iniciativas praticadas pelo empreendimento, constantes campanhas de conscientização e reflexão junto aos consumidores com temáticas relacionadas às questões ambientais e sociais são realizadas.
