Plaza Shopping e Tech Woman realizam workshops inclusivos para jovens mulheres de escolas públicas do Recife

Com o objetivo de apresentar as possibilidades de carreiras dentro da área de tecnologia, incentivar e influenciar jovens mulheres sobre maior empregabilidade e remuneração, o Plaza Shopping realiza, em parceria com a rede Tech Woman, workshops inclusivos, nesta quinta (20), a partir das 9h. Em foco, alunas de escolas de referência na Zona Norte do Recife como a Silva Jardim, em Monteiro, e a José Vilela, no Parnamirim. A ação, que será desenvolvida nas próprias unidades de ensino, terá a coordenação da área de Responsabilidade Socioambiental do mall.

O conteúdo proposto será facilitado pela cofundadora do Tech Woman, Laís Xavier. “Queremos estimulá-las a conhecer melhor o mercado e como esse meio pode ser uma porta de entrada para mudança de vida e independência que muitas desejam. Entendemos que precisamos de mais diversidade na área de tecnologia da informação. Mulheres chegando nesses espaços podem mudar a realidade de altos cargos que são predominantemente ocupados por homens”, destaca.

“Nossa expectativa é reunir cerca de 150 jovens do Ensino Médio das duas escolas. Queremos destacar o Mês da Mulher de forma diferenciada, com informações que agregam, abrindo os olhos delas para um mercado tão promissor e que elas podem buscar conhecimento profissional a partir de insights valiosos em vídeos, rodas de conversa e possíveis conexões com especialistas que atuam na área de TI”, completa a coordenadora de Responsabilidade Socioambiental do Plaza, Jakeline Soares.

Responsabilidade socioambiental

Desde 2010, o Plaza Shopping realiza ações de Responsabilidade Socioambiental. O empreendimento assume seu compromisso socioambiental e desenvolve atividades e ações a partir dos seguintes eixos de atuação: educação e formação profissional, voluntariado corporativo, apoio a grupos e instituições, incentivo a atitudes sustentáveis, com atividades focadas na conscientização do descarte correto do lixo, na reutilização dos resíduos sólidos urbanos e na melhoria da mobilidade; coleta seletiva, adoção de área verde e utilização de energia solar.

Tech Woman

As primeiras edições do Tech Woman reuniram cerca de 2.500 mulheres cis ou trans, entre 17 e 66 anos, no Armazém Catorze, no Bairro do Recife. O público veio do litoral ao sertão, com representantes de inúmeras cidades de Pernambuco, além de participantes da Paraíba, do Rio Grande do Norte e de São Paulo. Foram disponibilizadas inscrições sociais para aquelas em situação de vulnerabilidade social usufruírem e construírem conhecimento, entre outros benefícios como transporte especial, área kids e alimentação.
